The Tremelo harmonica, to like or not to like

The Tremolo harmonica is a rare model in the sense that it produces a crisp and rich sound which is a bit peculiar, close to the one of an accordion, the tremolo harmonica

is easy to play and constructed like a traditional diatonic harmonica. https://harmonicaland.com/en/14-harmonica-tremolo

It differs from other harmonicas because of its double holes and this small difference brings a tremolo effect when one’s blows into the instrument.

It is possible to find tremolo harmonicas with doubled holes such as: 8, 10, 12, and 16. Those different models are tuned in a different way. The tremolo is mostly used for special effect and is not meant for blues, bend notes or anything other than simple melodies. Tremolo are often found in a straight version or in a curved version.

The fact that the hole are arranged in pairs and that they almost produce the same note, apart from being slightly tuned higher or lower than other, permit to create vibrato effects more easily. Those traits make the tremolo harmonica a perfect instruments for accompaniments.
